Daily Requirements

  • Students will read twenty minutes a day (140 minutes each week) outside of class in an SSR book of their choosing
  • Students will bring their SSR book to class each day for a daily grade - SSR = Silent Sustained Reading
  • Students will read in their SSR books in class anytime they are not engaged in teacher-directed activities
  • Students receive a weekly grade for SSR reading
  • Students receive a weekly grade for Reader Responses
  • Students receive a weekly grade for bringing their SSR book to class

Periods 4 and 7 - Final Flip Book entries due Monday, Nov. 9 (test grade)

Periods 1, 3, 4, and 7 - If student did not bring an article from a newspaper, magazine, or the internet about bullying (it was due Friday), s/he needs to bring it on Monday to receive a late grade.

Periods 1 and 3 - Final Flip Book entry was due this past Wednesday, Nov. 3.  This is a test grade; a late grade is better than a zero.
